About Whole

Meet Madeline

Pain has a way of quietly shaping people’s lives.

It can show up as the neck that never quite releases, the lower back that tightens by the end of every day, the tension headaches that keep returning, or the body that simply feels different after pregnancy or injury.

Often people arrive in the treatment room feeling frustrated. They’ve tried stretching, resting, pushing through, or ignoring it altogether. Sometimes they’ve had treatments before that helped for a moment, but the problem keeps returning.

My work begins by listening to what the body is actually trying to say.

I’m Maddie, a Myotherapist and remedial massage therapist in Diamond Creek with over 10 years of clinical experience. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy) and additional training in Health, Nutrition & Life Coaching, with a longstanding interest in the connection between the physical body, the nervous system and overall wellbeing.

My approach combines Clinical Myotherapy, remedial massage, myofascial release and dry needling to reduce pain, restore movement and help the body shift out of long-held tension patterns.

Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I look at the body as a whole system. Pain is rarely just about a single tight muscle — it is influenced by posture, injury history, pregnancy, stress levels and the way the nervous system responds to physical and emotional load over time.

Many people carry tension in their bodies that is closely linked to chronic stress, burnout or emotional overwhelm. When the nervous system is constantly in a heightened state, the body often responds by tightening, guarding and holding protective patterns that can eventually manifest as pain.

Supporting the nervous system to regulate and settle can therefore be just as important as addressing the muscles and connective tissues themselves.

This is why treatments are never one-size-fits-all.

Some people need precise, structural work to release deep muscular tension. Others benefit from a slower, regulating approach that helps the nervous system feel safe enough for the body to let go of protective holding patterns.

Alongside my clinical work, I have also explored modalities such as energetic healing, which has deepened my appreciation for the complex mind-body relationship and the way emotional experiences can be reflected through physical tension and pain patterns in the body.

I have a particular interest in supporting women through pregnancy and post-natal recovery, helping restore comfort, stability and connection to the body during a time of significant physical and emotional change.

Whole Myotherapy was created as a space where people can receive thoughtful, personalised care — treatments designed not just to relieve pain temporarily, but to support the body in moving toward lasting ease, resilience and nervous system balance.

Many people arrive feeling stuck in their pain.

The goal of treatment is to help the body remember that it doesn’t have to stay that way.
